This trip, while nice, just doesn't measure up to the memories/excitement/pure joy I felt on my last/previous/other vacation. Maybe next year will be better.

Found Myself I'm Charting (On Purpose)

There's a certain freedom that comes with knowing you aren't just wandering aimlessly. It's about embracing the unknown, trusting your instincts and letting curiosity be your north star. Sure, there might be moments of doubt, but those are just reminders to pivot.

The real joy is in each step, not the destination. It's about uncovering something new about yourself. When you're truly exploring, you realize that sometimes getting turned around is exactly how you stumble upon what you're looking for.

Sorry For What I Said When I Was Hungry Abroad While I Was Starving

Being lost in a new country is always an adventure, but sometimes those adventures can take a turn for the worse when your stomach starts to growl. It's easy to get caught up in the excitement during exploring {astrange land and forget about the most basic needs like food. This often leads to mood swings, which can cause some less than gracious behavior.

I've definitely learned this the hard way on several. One moment I was excited about trying a local delicacy, and the next I was shouting at my travel companions because I hadn't eaten in hours. It's not exactly a behavior I'm proud of, but it just goes to show that even the most outgoing traveler can turn into a ravenous monster when they're hungry.

So, if you ever find yourself abroad and starting to feel cranky, my advice is to take a break. It might be the difference between having a fantastic trip and one that ends with some awkward moments.

Travel: Eat. Sleep. Repeat. Nap Time is Essential.

Let's admit – traveling can be exhausting. You're constantly wandering new places, tasting unfamiliar cuisine, and soaking up the scenery. It's all incredibly rewarding, but it can also leave you feeling worn out. That's where nap time comes in.

Don't underestimate the power of a quick snooze while you're on the road. It can recharge your batteries and allow you to fully savor all that your destination has to offer.

  • Bring a travel pillow and an eye mask in your bag.
  • Find serene spots in squares.
  • Establish rules with your travel companions about nap time.

Why You Can't Pack Light

  • Believe it or not: Packing light is rarely as easy as it sounds.
  • You might be surprised by how much stuff/you actually need|
  • So, let go of that idea: Packing light isn't always about limiting yourself.
